Under the auspices of the President of University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Yasser Lafta Al-Okaili, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Naseer Abdul Hussein Al-Kaabi, the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kufa holds its virtual conference entitled as (Humanities and the pandemic challenges of Corona and what’s beyond it) on Saturday, 20/6/2020.
The conference opens with a speech by the university president, through which he focuses on the most important health risks caused by the pandemic, its transmission methods and means of prevention, as well as the variables produced by the pandemic on the world in all levels.
Also, the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Naseer Al-Kaabi, states in his speech at the conference that the humanities can present various answers and proposals to get out of this distress that struck all aspects of life and paralyzed its nerve after the Corona pandemic imposed a new pattern of life, which prompted the College of Arts to hold a scientific meeting It covers major human branches by providing a scientific understanding of the implications and reading the transformations and their accelerating trends that have taken on a force that shakes the human existence.
The conference includes seven axes, the most prominent of which are the epidemiological axis in the historical notation, the axis of the pandemic, the educational and psychological problems of the Corona pandemic, the axis of geographical variables and the challenges of the Corona pandemic.
It is noteworthy that the number of participants is 70 researchers, the percentage of foreign participants amounted to 40% from the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as participants from various Iraqi universities.
