Adab Al-Kufa Journal Publishes Study on Opposition Poems in Praises

Adab Al-Kufa Journal , which is issued by the College of Arts at the University of Kufa, published a joint research by Assistant Professor Dr. Khomeini’s Iranian title: (Poems of opposition in praises of the Prophet (a stylistic and conceptual study of Burdah al-Busairi and the poem of Nizam al-Burdah by Ali Ahmad Bakathir). The art of opposition is a poet’s imitation of another poet in a poem that he brings to the weight and rhyme of opposition poetry. The term “oppositions” is one of the most common words It was common in the literature of the Mamluk era, especially in the art of praise of the Prophet.Burdah Al-Busairi had a great share in the circulation of this poetic art, as many poets opposed it and were influenced by it from different sides. Among the most beautiful of these oppositions is a lengthy poem by Ali Ahmed Bakathir called “The Nizam al-Burdah or the Remembrance of Muhammad ().” This research was dealt with through the descriptive method.
