English Language Examines in Master’s Thesis on Linguistic Borrowed Words from Linguistic Perspective

The Department of English at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kufa has examined a master’s thesis by the MA student Rasool Kamil. The study has aimed to investigate and ponder the linguistic metaphor from a linguistic perspective, and to realize the fact that when speakers engage in interactive conversations, they are usually influenced by one another. They usually imitate each other. Arabic is actually influenced by English visual media. There are many English words and phrases acquired in Arabic. These English words become Arabic words that are used by Arab speakers officially, but their origin is English. Adding new foreign words to a particular language is both useful and acceptable. Therefore, this study deals with Arabic words acquired by the Arabic speakers. However, the phenomenon of borrowing requires further investigation because it has not received due attention.
