Faculty of Arts Tackles Financial and Military Aspects in Books of Conquests in Third Century AH

A master’s thesis has been examined at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kufa, entitled: “Financial and Military Aspects in the Books of Conquests in the Third Century for Hegira” by the student (Firas Abdel-Amir).

The study included three chapters, the first of which dealt with the personal and scientific biography of Al-Waqidi and Al-Baladhuri, their lives and achievements, while the second chapter dealt with the economic conditions in the books of the conquests of the Levant and the conquests of the countries and the funds obtained from the conquests of cities by force and obtained by peace, while the third chapter dealt with the Egyptianization of Islamic cities as a basis for the launch of the conquests In it, the researcher detailed the affairs of the military leadership, and the thesis relied on scientific sources that varied between translations and books of history, hadith, language, and geography, in addition to modern references.
