The seminar investigated similarity using statistical means like (X)Dice Coefficients and Similarity Index on graphemic and phonemic levels. MANOVA and ANOVA were used to obtain the final results. It was concluded that there is a great similarity between the source words on one hand and the source words and the blend on the other, the matter that highly motivates forming blends in English.
