The Arts discusses a master’s thesis on the artistic image in the poetry of Durgham Al-Barqaawi

The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts – University of Kufa discussed a master’s thesis entitled: (The Artistic Image in the Poetry of Durgham Al-Barqa’awi), by the student Ruqayyah Sahib Hamzah, in which she obtained a very good, high grade.

The researcher chose the artistic image in the poetry of Durgham Al-Barqa’awi because Arabic poetry witnessed a great development in recent years with the occurrence of radical transformations in the poem at the level of artistic construction, which changed the poet’s path towards absolute freedom of creativity. Her research thesis was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Musab Makki Abd.

The study concluded several results, the most important of which are:

– The environment of the poet Dergham Al-Barqa’awi, represented in the city of Najaf, had a prominent impact on his support for the poetic image and its development.
