Arts examines the role of the Iraqi National Assembly 2005 in a historical study

College of Arts at the University of Kufa discussed a PhD thesis entitled: “The Iraqi National Assembly 2005, a historical study.”
By researcher Atheer Kazem Abd Zaid Al-Khalidi, Department of History. The study focused on examining the purpose of the Iraqi National Assembly in preparing and writing the Iraqi constitution in light of this climate and the new political variable on the one hand, and the discussions in the texts of its articles and their contents and the opinions and proposals within or outside the National Assembly on the other hand. It was an effort to find out the implications of these positions and visions in writing a permanent, contemporary Iraqi constitution that differed to a large extent from previous constitutions, whether permanent or temporary, that were subject to the equation of the ruling power at that time and the requirements of its dominance over the constitution of government and the state.
