Faculty of Arts – in cooperation with the threshold of the Holy Council – holds a scientific conference to celebrate the 1400 years of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (p.b.u.h)

The Faculty of Arts at the University of Kufa – in collaboration with the Holy council threshold – holds its scientific conference that is titled as “History and Movement in the Thought of the Imam of the Faithful Ali Ibn Abi Taleb” in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Mohsen Al-Dhalmi, the holy upper threshold and a number of deans of the faculties as well as religious figures and academic from inside and outside Iraq, professors and students, for the period from 9-10 / 4/2019

The Conference openes with a speech by the President of the University in which he affirmed that the University has taken this year – from the beginning of the current academic year- as the year of the Amir of the Believers, which included several activities at different levels.

The Dean also addresses the conference on the history of the ancient city of Kufa and on the personality and position of Imam Ali (PBUH), whose character, status and moral and human dimension are difficult to count.

The conference is held in the first two sessions in the hall of al-Sadr (Quds) conducted by Prof. Dr. Talib al-Enizi and the second in the dialogue and peace room led by Prof. Hadi Abdul-Nabi al-Tamimi, which included a number of historical research in the life and biography of Imam Ali with the presence of researchers from Iraqi Universities and international universities, and at the end, the dean has distributed certificates of appreciation and shields to the participants in appreciation of their efforts at this conference.
