Prof. Majid Al-Badri from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kufa participated in the international scientific symposium held by the Tunisian Association for Digital Media entitled (The tribe in its social dimension in the Arab world).

Al-Badri said that his participation consisted of a scientific research on the problem of the relationship between the tribe and the state in Iraq, in which he reviewed the tribe’s relationship with the Iraqi state since its establishment, noting that the nature of the transformations that Iraq underwent on the political level in the republican and royal phases shows us that tribal entities respond and adapt at the time. He himself with these transformations in different ways, and the most important challenges facing a modern civil building project in Iraq is to establish a solidarity relationship between the state and the tribe, to make the tribe a social institution under political authority, and to create a cultural and educational awareness to integrate it into state institutions and activate its role to help in the conduct of its policies.
