At the College of Arts at the University of Kufa, a doctoral thesis was examined (The Spatial Development and Its Future Prospects in the Al-Haidariya District) by the student, Woroud Mohsen Abdel-Kateb.
The thesis supervisor, Prof. Muhammad Jawad Abbas Shabaa said that the study dealt with the reality of spatial development in Al-Haidariya district and aimed to develop a comprehensive development plan to achieve social justice and economic efficiency in the study area, adding that it discussed indicators of community development, basic services and economic development according to planning standards.
He indicated that the study adopted the SWOT analysis method and the statistical analysis method using the Mintab19 program, and the geographic information system (GIS) in preparing and drawing maps, noting that the study ended with a set of conclusions, including regarding the educational indicator, such as the lack of schools and educational staff in the district, And problems related to the health indicator, such as the lack of health institutions and their staff, in addition to problems related to the lack of basic services.
